The Okanagan is home to more than 300,000 residents. With so many wonderful people, and beautiful places it can be hard to choose was to do this summer. If you’re wondering where to start, here are three must-see events happening this summer.

Lake Country

Lake Country Customs and Classics Car Show

Sunday, Aug 18th, 2018

Lake Country Customs and Classics is now celebrating its 10th year as one of the most pristine car shows in the Okanagan. Residents can count on hundreds of cars on display at Swalwell Park. There will be food, retail vendors and live music entertainment playing in the pavilion.


The Lake Country Chamber of Commerce is committed to ensuring that this car show is one of the best. The Car Show Committee has been working to attract some of the nicest and most unique cars available. All proceeds from this show are donated to Lake Country charities. Penticton Peach Festival

Wednesday, August 8th - Sunday, August 12th, 2018


Penticton Peach Festival is an annual South Okanagan Valley tradition that began in 1947. This five-day family-friendly event is free to attend and will consist of live entertainment, from musicians to dancers, to comedians and more. Block Party

Saturday, July 21st, 2018


Once a year, Bernard Avenue is closed for the biggest Block Party in the Okanagan. This free event features local artists and entrepreneurs from all over the Okanagan come together to celebrate their unique talents and creations.
With over 100 vendors lining the street with great deals, children's activities, dancing, and music. Everyone and anyone is invited to join the party!


Sun Valley Cruise-In Car Show

Saturday, July 21st, 2018 – Sunday, July 22nd, 2018

The "Sun Valley Cruise-In" Car Show is a weekend event that takes places at Polson Park in Vernon. The event will begin with a scenic cruise on Saturday, leaving Vernon's Watkin Motors at 2 p.m. and traveling the back-roads, looping back to the downtown for the Saturday night show. On Saturday there will be live music and a free drop-in car show. The day’s event will take place on 30th Avenue, from 4 to 9 p.m.



On Sunday, July 22nd in the scenic 'Polson Park" will host the popular classic car show, now open to all show and interest vehicles. The show will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, click this link.
