Events to check out in Lake Country this summer

With summer in full swing, Lake Country is bustling with fun things to do. Here are a few free community events worth checking out!

Lake Country Art Walk


Location: Lake Country Community Complex

Date: September 8th and 9th, 2018

Time: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.


The largest Art Walk of its kind in the BC interior, this exhibit showcases original artwork created by visual and performing artists from the Okanagan Valley.
The event will feature works of art and live performances with more than 300 artists of all kinds of media, and over 3000 original works of art.
This two-day event welcomes resident and visitors from all over the B.C. interior.

Lake Country Customs & Classics Car Show


Location: 9950 Bottom Wood Lake Rd, Kelowna, BC V4V 1S7

Date: August 19th, 2018

Time: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.


If you claim to be a classic car enthusiast then Lake Country Customs and Classics Car Show is just the event for you.
Celebrating their tenth year, the car show is expected to host hundreds of cars on display.
With food and retail vendors and live music entertainment playing on the pavilion this year’s show will be one for the books. Plus, every car registered will have a chance to win $1000 worth of cash prizes as well as one of many door prizes.

Lake Country Farmer’s Market


Location: Swalwell Park, 9950 Bottom Wood Lake Rd, Kelowna, BC V4V 1S7

Date: Every Friday in June - to the end of Sept.

Time: 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.


This market may seem small but it is filled with a variety of cheerful vendors from all over the Okanagan. All products are baked, grown or handmade by the vendors. This market is the perfect place to buy local fruits, vegetables, eggs, crafts, sewing related goods, art, plants, flowers, food and so much more!
