Sadly summer has come and gone, and we've started to notice how much time we end up spending inside our homes. This time of year is the perfect time to start thinking about ways to add to the comfort of our living rooms. As the Fall and Winter months invite holiday guests, it is important to make sure that everyone feels as cozy in our homes as we do!

If there's one thing we can't deny, it's how beautiful the Lake Country area is. As a community surrounded by stunning lakes, bountiful mountains, and year-round activities, there's no wonder we love calling this place home.

Summers in the Okanagan Valley typically range from 25-35 degree weather. With temperatures that hot, it makes it difficult to enjoy a lengthy hike in the valley, even though you've been itching to catch one of the incredible views. Now that fall has arrived the weather is starting to cool and be less intimidating than the summer months. Don’t let the weather of the cooler months keep you inside and instead, check out those views you’ve been dying to see.
A few views that are some of our favorites take us around the Okanagan. Some are drivable in a truck, but others are a great way to get outdoors and make a day out of hiking. You’re going to want to pack your camera for these ones!

When the kids were at home it made it easy to stay on top of what events were going on in your city or town. Your kids have now flown the coop and you’re left to figure out what’s going on all on your own! Luckily, Lake Country has it all! From city events, to live theatre or just the simple task of keeping yourself busy. There are loads of activities to keep yourself entertained during those cold, Fall and Winter days.

If your family always ends up at your place for the holidays or they just can’t wait to visit the Okanagan, there’s a good chance that you will find yourself with a lot of people under your new roof. Hosting your family can be daunting at the best of times, but if you’ve recently moved into a smaller home, you may be facing new challenges too.
While homes at Cadence don’t really require you to downsize, at least not in the traditional sense, some of our residents are downsizing from 5,000 to 3,200 sq. feet. That’s not a small home, but it is a big change when it comes to hosting the family!
